Nicole Görtz (*1976) studied Biology at the University of Muenster and finished her Diploma thesis with the title "Ethological characterization of laboratory mice: Learning and memory - exemplified in an animal model of the Alzheimer's disease." (supervised by Prof. Dr. Norbert Sachser, Institute of Neuro and Behavioural Biology and Prof. Dr. Werner Paulus (Institute of Neuropathology) in 2002.
Currently, she is working on a PhD-project titled "Effects of environmental enrichment on learning and memory in a transgenic mouse model of the Alzheimer`s disease".
These investigations are supported by a grant from the "Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes".
Further interests consider zoo biology and animal welfare.
