Friederike Jansen (*1983 in Dorsten) studied Biology at the University of Muenster and finished her diploma thesis in 2008 at the Department of Behavioural Biology, supervised by Prof. Dr. Norbert Sachser. Within this project, she investigated the anxiety-like behaviour and its modulation by winner and loser experiences in adult wildtype and serotonin transporter knockout mice. In March 2008, she started her dissertation entitled „Biology of Aggression: behavioural and endocrinological investigations on serotonin transporter knockout mice“ (DFG project Sa 389/10-1). The aim is to deepen the knowledge about the influence of the territory, fighting experience and gender on anxiety-induced aggression. The dissertation is integrated in the PhD program of the Otto Creutzfeldt Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience (OCC).
